Just a reminder to say do sign up to the Google Group where people can discuss films and also arrange any other fun film outings that they fancy - please find details of how to sign up at the bottom of this page.
Here are all the details for the film group this coming Monday.
Meet: In the Picturehouse Bar after the film, then we'll head to the Stonhouse Pub round the corner.
NEW MEMBERS
I would also like to welcome all new members to the group - apologies for not emailing you individually. Here's how it works:
- We meet every second Monday after the film at either the Clapham Picture House or Brixton Ritzy (depending on which has better films/film times)
- We aim for 6.30-7pm screenings (to ensure discussions don't start too late) although occasionally we have to go for earlier screenings
- We meet in the bar (upstairs if we're at the Ritzy) or the main bar at the Picture House - ask the bar staff though if you can't find us. A few times it's been very busy so we move onto the Stonhouse pub nearby so can I recommend that we all meet up first before buying drinks at the cinema, just in case we need to move on to find more space.
- There's no membership fee or anything (it's a 'come along whenever you're free and fancy the film' kind of thing) and we all buy our own separate tickets (sometimes worth buying in advance if films are very popular).
- Just want to stress that it's very casual and no prior film knowledge required, just some enthusiasm for watching films. It also doesn't matter if you miss any weeks so don't feel put off if you do.

Google Group
We have a new mailing list, hosted on Google Groups, to allow members to communicate directly with each other. You will need to sign yourselves up to it if you would like to use it. There are two ways to do this, you can go to the website:

Signing up this way means you will need to have a Google account, but means you can access all of the messages on the website as well as getting them by email, and you can control how the emails are delivered. Signing up for a Google account if you don't already have one is relatively quick and easy.
If you don't want to sign up for a Google account, the quickest and simplest way to sign up for the group is to send an email to:
claphamfilmgroup+subscribe@googlegroups.com
The actual email can be blank or have anything in it, doesn't matter. You will get a confirmation email, which you need to reply to, then you will be signed up and should get any messages posted to the group, and can post messages yourself by sending an email to:
claphamfilmgroup@googlegroups.com
Replying to messages posted by others will also post that message to the whole group.
There's always a risk messages will get filtered out by spam protection, so if you don't get any (or don't get the confirmation email when signing up), you should check your email spam folders, or add claphamfilmgroup@googlegroups.com to your address book which should stop it from getting spam-filtered.
